Installing manufacturer graphics.

The ArtiCAD system comes with a built in range of doors known as "Standard Doors". This range contains an example of the most common types of door (shaker, wide shaker, slab etc) and you can then change the colours of the doors to suit.

You can also install manufacturer specific door ranges. These are supplied either on CD or emailed direct to you.

NOTE - updating your version of ArtiCAD does not automatically update the installed manufacturer graphics. Check the Door, Appliance and Texture Libraries sections in the Members Area of the ArtiCAD website to see if updates are available for your installed manufacturers.

NOTE - you may also need to install the latest update to the ArtiCAD system for certain door types or units to work correctly. Check the Members Area of the ArtiCAD website for details.

On CD.

IMPORTANT: Exit from ArtiCAD before installing manufacturer graphics.

Supplied with the CD should also be a letter containing the passwords for the door installers. If this is missing please contact Client Care on +44 (0) 1923 888 101.

Insert the CD. Depending on the security settings on your version of Windows it may automatically show you the contents of the CD. If not, you will have to explore it yourself.

Run the installer (double-click on it). Follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted, enter the password.

Via email.

IMPORTANT: Exit from ArtiCAD before installing manufacturer graphics.

The email will contain a link to the graphic installer (in the URL column). Depending on the security settings of your email program, you may be able to click on the URL and it will start downloading the installer. If you cannot click the link (or you click it and nothing happens) you will need to highlight the entire URL including the .exe on the end (e.g. http://www.articad.biz/doors/PWS_Kitchen_doors.exe), copy it (usually by right-clicking and selecting "Copy") and then pasting it (right-click and select "Paste") into the address box of your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera etc).

When the installer starts to download you will be given the option to either Run (sometimes Open) or Save the file. Click "Run".

The installer will automatically start once it has finished downloading. Follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted, enter the password supplied in the email.
